The king's second elder brother, the puppet master, tells him that he is the elder brother of the new king. He tells the king that the man who found the wills has been tortured again and is terribly injured. The king asks why his clan is in the country. The puppet master says that the king is about to be crowned, and that he will need to witness the change. He says that he was born as a "mere container of malice" when he was in the body of the old king. The old king was afraid that "malice" would "erose his mind day-by-day," and so he built a harbor so that "gedo" would not be "erosed continuously" . The new king will be crowned when the harbor is reawakened, and the new man will be made a human being. He asks if the old man said that he had told his mother about the will, and if he did, too, since he has been away from his mother since then. The man says that when he picked him up from the village and sent him to the sunset college, he did not know that the will was there. He also says that at that time, he was not sure about many things, but that he thought he could change his mother's fate as long as he made hard efforts. He thinks
