In this chapter, we learn that the mollusks have come to challenge Gleiser to a fight. Gleiser is a "human realm rank 3" , and Gleiser's opponent is "malicious." Gleiser tries to convince Gleiser that he is brave, but Gleiser points out that being brave will not help Gleiser win the battle. "My will is malice," Gleiser retorts, "I have also collected impulse, and tyrannical." He then shows Gleiser the two wills that he has collected before he has killed Gleiser. The first will is fickle, the second is tyrannical, and the third is another will that Gleiser has not yet collected. He asks Gleiser if he can check out the second will, which means Gleiser will have two more wills to fight him if he surrenders
