In this chapter, we are introduced to two new characters: Emil and Pedringano. Emil is the younger of the two, and he is the protagonist of the story. He is also known as "the cannibal monster" because of his insatiable appetite for food. We learn that he was once a member of the Emil's team, and that he is now the protagonist's friend. He tells us that he and his friend have decided to challenge the protagonist to a game of cannibal hunting.
