In this chapter, the reader is introduced to the concept of "sense and capture" . Each book in the world has its own "thoughts" , and each reader has the ability to "sense" and "capture" the thoughts of the other books. The reader is to grab one of the books in the room and place it in his or her hand. This is the final test of the book, and the reader will be able to choose the most appropriate elemental power for himself or herself.
