In this chapter, we learn that the fighting at the grand competition is not allowed in the square, and that Leimi's clan has killed all of the other students in order to be among the three elite colleges. Leimi is upset that he is being treated as if he is not worthy of the honor bestowed upon him by the three colleges. He tells Leimi that he will get back what he owes him one day, and Leimi agrees. He also tells him that the sun has set, and the second stage of fighting has also ended up winning. The sun has passed, and progress of the fighting with the competition has passed all the way to the final stage. The night before the finals, no one wanted to see Leimi advance into the final because he had won so many matches. He is also hungry, and so he goes outside to buy a midnight snack. He hears the sound of the animal alley, and he wonders if he will be able to escape from his sensitive animal alley to join the "infiltration" program.
