The next morning, Fang tells Mill that he has broken his guitar. He tells him that five years ago, when they were at the school gates, Fang beat him up. Fang says that he beat him because he was afraid of what he would do to him if he tried to protect him again. He also says that the mole on Fang's face is almost exactly the same as it was when he was younger. He says he is different from Fang because he hates the way he fights with people. He asks if he can walk to the school gate, and he says he will. He wants to hug Fang and tell him that he loves him.
