In this short scene, Lan tries to convince himself that he and Ming aren't really friends. He tells Ming that he can't forgive Ming for everything he did to Fang, and that he won't be able to forgive Ming in the future. He also tells him that Ming has turned his life upside down, and he's ready to leave, but Ming stopped him. Lan tells Ming to wake him up when he gets up the next morning, and Ming agrees to go with him.
