The scene opens with the two of them in the kitchen, where xixi tells him to stay away from her. She tells him that he deceived her, and that he is flattering him. He tells her that everything he has done for her is fair, and they will be leaving after work. He says that he will come to her after work, but that he does not want the past to be a burden on him. She says that even if she does not have memories of him, she will not be able to fly away from his world. He asks her to call him gentle, and she says that she likes him to call her sichen, which means "gentle." He says he cannot leave his world, even if he has no memories of his father, because he cant fly away. He feels that she is still his, even though she has lost some of her memories. She asks him to translate the recipes for the desserts into Chinese, and he says he will need a translator later on. He explains that they have always loved one another, but because he chose work over her at the time she needed him the most, his parents became furious, and set them apart. If he could go back, he would stay by her side, all the time. Now that they loved each other, why is he still pursuing her, he asks. He thinks that he must win her heart, because she has been waiting for him for three years. He wonders if he is being sneaky, but he says it is not.
