This chapter opens with a conversation between wang and huiyin. Worried that he has been bullied, wang tells his sister not to be rude to her sister in law. He also tells her to be careful with her words. He tells her that his uncle and aunt have come to see him, and that they want to force him into a corner. When wang asks if he is being bullied, he is told that he is. Confused, he asks if the aunt has spoken up for him, but she has not. She tells him that her uncle is a loser, and the two men in front of him are just distant relatives of his uncle. Believing that she has been humiliated, she tells wang that she would like to be in long hair, but before this, she wants to take care of her pain. She says that she is a female assistant, and she has short hair because she can move around freely with it. She asks wang if he wants to see her in short hair, and he says that he wants her to have long hair if she likes to. She then asks why the aunt didn't go to pick her up, and when wang says that it is not a big deal, she asks if she is afraid to be punished by working extra hours.
