At the beginning of the chapter, we are introduced to the women of the group, who are now referred to as "the yin group" and "the mo family." They are all "ordinary waiters" who have been invited to dinner by the captain of the restaurant. One of the women is pregnant, and the captain has asked her to serve him an appetizer. The captain asks her to give him some water, but she refuses, saying that the captain "never how could he met us." The captain then sends her back to the restaurant, and she is disappointed to find that he has sent her back again. She asks the captain what he wants, and he says that he wants her to leave him alone. She then asks if the captain needs help from the "yin group" or the "mo family," and he responds that he does. The women leave the restaurant to go to a nearby bathroom, and when they return, they find that they have to go back to their rooms.
