Back at the yun house, xixi tells her mom that she's finally home and that she should come celebrate her grandmother's birthday. Aww, mom, you're such a good mom. She's so sweet and kind, and she'll make sure to come back for the birthday party. Ooh, it'll be a good time to meet her again. But xi thinks that the kids' custody battle is still unresolved, and he's worried that he'll have to return to fight for his kids' inheritance. He's also worried that if he marries again, he won't be able to stay with the family forever. Worried, mom tells xi that she can't go back to her old life if she doesn't want to marry another man. Confused, mom says that she has to go to work to prepare for the exhibition that's to be held later that night. Anxious, mom asks xi to finish her meal, but xi's too excited to do so. He tells her that yun's brother is also there, too, and that they're going to have a party after the exhibition ends. Unsure of what's going on, mom tries to calm xi down.
