The wolf and the vampire discuss their plans. The wolf says that he's going to get rid of the vampire and bring him back to the real world. The vampire says that they're going to fight to the death to get back what they've stolen from the wolf. He's not going to let the wolf get away with killing him. The two of them jump up and down in the air, trying to figure out what's happening. They're not sure if the duke wants them to fight or not, but the wolf says he'll get his self killed if he does go. He asks the wolf if he can call him "elder broth" instead of "sensible broth" . He says he was tired of being a dog, so he went back to his original form and tried to isolate the wolf from the world. He doesn't want to kill him, he says, because he'd rather die than live.
