In this chapter, Rinehart's voice is interrupted by the rumble of a bomb that has been set off in the monster's dining room. The explosion has destroyed everything in its path, and the monster is now trapped in the "dream world" that he has created. He is unable to leave the town because he cannot trust the princess, and she has the power to save him if he should be killed. He says that if he were to die, the monster would be left alone until he was revived, and he would be able to protect the princess. The rumble rumble rumble of the bomb is interrupted only by the sound of a man's hoof. The man is Hiroyuki, who has grown into a fine young man.
