Chapter 55 opens with a rumble. It's been nine years since the last time we saw Ulrike, and he's still alive. He and his sister, Wood, have been trapped in a cave for the past nine years. Wood says that he doesn't know where he'd be if he hadn't run away. He also says that his sister should have given him a little more time to get out of the cave. He's not worried about his family feud, though, because Wood's sister, Silvia, has been helping him escape from the cave for nine years now. Wood is worried that Silvia's presence will make things even worse. He says that if Silvia dies, he'll have no choice but to help her out. Wood then says that Silvia has returned, and that she's no longer a warrior. He tells Wood that he has come to help him out, since he feels the same way as he did when he first came to the cave nine years ago. Wood agrees, and says that it's fitting that he is the one who defeats Silvia.
