The mermaid tells her brother, rumble, that she has come to tell him that her master, emil, is dying. She tells him that she is going to sleep, because she is angry with him. He tells her that he would have killed him if he were him, because he is a coward who prefers to live in the high road. He says that he has been holed up with his health failing, and he has ordered his servants to prepare for his death. The mermaid says that she had not seen him either, and that she was not sure when he was last seen. She asks him to talk to her about all of his schemes. He replies that he did not plan this, but that his master is now a blood warrior. He asks her to help him with something, and she agrees.
