In this chapter, we learn that the old lady is back. She's been gone for a while now, but she's still there. The old lady's voice comes over again, and this time it's the voice of Ulrica, who's in charge of the mansion. Ulrica is sitting on a chair, and the walls of the room are covered in mud. The walls are covered with mud, and Ulrica can't figure out what's wrong with the room. She tells Ulrica to go to her room and wait for the rumbles to come. She says that she doesn't care what people think of her, and that she'll do her best to protect Ulrica. Uh-oh. Uh... Ulrica says that he's put the mansion under her control, and she says that they should have killed Ulrica when they had the chance, but they didn't. She also says that Ulrica's sister is okay, but that they're all getting burned by the bugs. She asks if Ulrica came to save them, and he says that if he had won the battle, he would have created a way for her to live. He's going to claim the throne, he says, and then he'll go back to his old life as a peasant.
