In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist's name is "Wobble" and that he works as a servant at a hospital. He's not allowed to leave the hospital because he's a "new kid" , but he is allowed to stay because the hospital is "full of nice people" . In other words, he can spend his days at the hospital as he pleases, or he can be ignored and treated like a "classless servant." We're not sure what this means, but we're guessing it means that he has to work as a "serviceman" for the hospital, which means he can't go anywhere. The hospital director, Hiroyuki, comes to the hospital and asks the protagonist to tell him the secret of the hospital. The protagonist says that he doesn't know what the secret is, but that he'd like to hide it in the morning so that he won't have to explain it to Hiroyuki. He asks the hospital director if there are any nice people in the hospital , and the director says that there are, and that they're all there to protect him from the other patients who are trying to get away from him. Hiroyuki says that the hospital has no malice in it, because the patients are all there for the same reason: to protect themselves from the vampire who's trying to kill them.
