About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that Selia's tribe lives by the lake of Kutsu sahara, and that they live in a very peaceful area. Selia tells her brother that she can eat on her own, but that she's not finished with dinner yet. She asks Selia if she can talk to her if she needs anything else. She tells him that the quest for knowledge is what makes human beings, and he agrees. He tells Selia that he's the one who took her to the lake, and Selia asks him if he saw the white serpent in the sky. He says that he saw it, too, from the sky, but he doesn't know if it's a snake or a gorg. He wonders if they're going to find the white snake in the cave and report it to the kingdom. He's also worried that the tribe's adven-turers are getting boring. They're not sure where they are, so they killed one of their brothers, but they didn't kill him for his honor. He asks if he'll be able to find out who it is, and she says that it is a polar bear. She says that she and her brother are both after one another, because one of them died, and the power balance they had.
