About This Chapter
Roxane and Mina are still in the sand, and Roxane wonders if there will be a day when they will be able to escape. Mina tells Roxane that they have been in the desert for about an hour, and that she and Mina have remained stationary. She tells Mina that the giant sandworm has been sighted, and Mina says that it must be because only Hiro could come to rescue them. Mina says they will take them to the sandworm's nest, where they will find out if the worms really exist or not. Mina then says that the sand wedge has dried up, which means that the worms used to live on the ocean floor, not in the well. Mina asks Roxane if she thinks they should emil go, and she says that she would rather not have a damper on the little girl's hopes of getting home
