The chapter opens with a flashback to Hiroshi's childhood, when Hiroshi and his friends would go on company outings. Hiroshi is now a young man, and he has fallen in love with his childhood friend, Kanade, who is now the father of his younger sister, Mizu. The flashback shows that Mizu's ankle has swollen, and she has to go to the hospital to get it checked out. Mizu, however, is not going to be able to go because of her injury, and Hiroshi tells her that he will take care of her. He also tells Mizu that he wants to marry her, but that he has the wrong idea about where they are going, and that they are heading in the wrong direction
