The scene opens with a soliloquy about a company outing that "never ends" . The narrator complains about his "weak spot" , which is his pant leg. He complains about the squelching noises of the other men's company, and he laments the fact that he has become "padding throb pant." He laments that he is unable to stop the men from flirting with him, because they are in the wrong room. The men are interrupted by the sound of a slap coming from the other room, and the narrator realizes that the slap is coming from his "dick." The men continue to argue about whether or not they should stop, but the narrator finally relents and tells the men that they can talk now. He tells them that thanks to a "certain one," he has gotten his heart "broken tonight."
