About This Chapter
In the second half of the first half, Tsubaki tries to convince the other wards to join him in the fight. He tells them that they are too far back and that they should move to the other side of the room. He also tells them to catch the ball and shout at the opposing player. When they do, he says, they can tell where the other players are. He says that he was underestimating the strength of the opponent and that he hoped that the opponent would use him one day. At that moment, he stood at a crossroads and wondered if his position had been stolen by the opponent. He wonders if he still wants to play the game, and says that if he were to fight, he would not be able to say that he did not want to fight. The coach says that they do not fight as a team, but as individuals. He explains that he chose the members of the team based on how hard they worked at the curry party. He adds that he learned the players' feelings about the club by doing things like visiting the business men and taking pictures with the locals. The only reason he chose them was to show them how cool they are.
