About This Chapter
In this short scene, we learn that the two dogs, saki and Tsubaki, have been playing with the prince for the past two years. They're super-fast, super-smart, and super-lovin'. The guys are psyched to have them back, and they're even more psyched when they realize that they've been playing against the captain of the other team, who's super-prideful. They all agree that it's just a practice game, and that the captain should just chill out and let the dogs do whatever they want. They also agree that if they lose, the captain's stock will go up, and he'll have an excuse to blame it on the other side of the fence. So, they'll just keep running around and running around. The captain is super-excited to have his dogs back, but he's also super-annoyed at how fast they are. He's like, "Dude, I'm running around like a mad dog chasing a rabbit, and I can't stop running!" . The other dogs are super-duper excited to have their masters back, too, because they think they can beat the captain and the other kids. But the captain is just as excited about the fact that the other dogs have been running around so much that they can pass the ball so easily. The boys are psyched that they haven't had to suffer too much in this game, because running around is just so much fun. They agree that the boys have lost their "usual cleverness" , but they still think that they have a chance to win.
