This chapter opens with a conversation between Hiroshi and Tommo. Hiroshi tells Tommo that he's been working so hard to get a job in the mail-order business that he chose it even though he was in high school. Tommo says that he wishes that working men would learn to take their "jockey mentality" to a whole new level. He tells Hiroshi that he likes his job because it's so easy to use a cart to move things around. He also tells him that the people who help him unload the truck are also helping him unload it. He thanks them all for their help and says that they're doing a good job.
