Just as summer break is wrapping up, Ruchi begins to feel like he's finally gotten used to the routine of waking up in the morning. He wonders if they can build a waterfall, and wonders if the landlord can make one. Ruchi thanks the land lord for his help, and says he'll ask him how big the waterfall should be. He's not sure how far he can go, but he promises to give it his best shot. He returns to the apartment, where Ruchi notices that Chih-chan looks pale. He thinks it's a sign that something bad is about to happen. He asks Ruchi to keep the waterfall up, and Ruchi agrees to do so. He also tells Ruchi that they're going to get a substitute teacher for Toshizo , and he wonders where the teacher comes from.
