The next morning, Huck finds himself in the middle of a conversation with his wife. He's happy to hear that she's doing well, but he's also worried about her health. Huck tells his wife that he wants to see her, and she agrees to meet him at her house. Huck then asks about his job prospects, and Huck says that he has to return to work immediately, because he sent his resignation a few weeks ago without his arm. Huck says he doesn't want to be a teacher anymore, but that he can still do other things, like sing, which is what his friends have told him to do. Huck asks Huck to sing some more songs, and he says that's what they've told him. Huck also tells Huck that the founder of Club Everton, Chris, was a big fan of Huck's, and that his calling was to become a teacher. So, after his death, Huck took over as the new head of the club. Huck is happy that he was able to carry on the legacy of Chris's "divine calling" by becoming a teacher, because it's the same path, but different. He says that, as long as Huck keeps moving forward, he will reach the promised land someday.
