He's also glad that he hasn't spoken to anyone since he left. He plans to go out for dinner with a friend later that night. The narrator says that he spent a lot of time apart from his wife, and that she gave him a run for his money. He also says that his wife works at a company as a "regular human" for decades, so she doesn't have to worry about him anymore. He says he'd like to try living like that too, since that's what he likes to do.
