In this chapter, we learn that the master of the grimoire, the petit hierologo, has been chosen to be the "master of the Four Elements" . This is a big deal, because it means that he's the one who's going to be able to use the elements to create his own magic. The narrator, however, doesn't buy it. He's not sure why he was chosen, and he wonders if it's because of someone like Hase, who'd probably know more about the elements than he does. He wants to know if there's a way he can buy the book from the bookseller, Yonobisensei, and ryu, who are both experts on the elements. Yonobi sensei, of course, knows more about them than anyone else in the world, so he can figure out a way to get the book for him.
