One year has passed, and it's time for the new year to begin. The narrator laments that he hasn't been able to enjoy the festivities of the past year, and he wishes that he could skip training on New Year's Day. He's also worried that he's been drinking too much, which reminds him of last year, when he moved out of the dormitory and spent the night with Oden and Enoshima. He wonders where he'd gotten his new clothes, and worries that he forgot his towel. He also worries that Oden canceled his family's trip to spend time with him, so the two of them ate dinner together, and talked about the night away. He wishes he could make a snow man, but he doesn't have enough snow to make one. He worries that the landlord dug up a large snow field, which makes him uneasy. He wants to build an igloo, but the landlord has dug a hole in the snow, so he'll have to make a lap quare out of it. He decides to make the stairs in the living room of his new house, where people live after all this time, like people in Alaska who live in an igloo after-all-about-time.
