In this chapter, we learn that the two men are preparing for their meeting with their grand father. They're going to go into the house of the dead , and they're nervous about what they'll find there. They don't know when it's going to be decided, but they do know that their destiny is going to lead them to the place they've always wanted to go to. Yushi says that he can feel it in his heart, but he can't laugh it off. The heart is a "kaleidoscopic scope" , he says, and you can only change it by small amounts of time. He tells them that they can use their amulet to seal off the "power" behind the dead man, and he tells them to hold onto the amulet. They can also use their " petit hiericon" to seal the door to the house. They all have a look at each other, and Yushi tells him that he just got a haircut, so he's wearing white jeans and a button down shirt. He also has a pendant with his hair in it, which he says reminds him of his grandfather. Yuchi says that they should calm down and think about what's ahead. He warns them to be careful, though, because they can easily get sucked into the "mass of desire" that's about to happen to them.
