About This Chapter
The narrator and his friend keisuke are in their second year in the same dormitory. The narrator is happy to be in a place where he doesn't have to deal with bullies, but he's worried that the food isn't as good as it used to be. He's also worried about his friend Ruriko, who's been murdered by a stalker. He wants to know why she hasn't been found yet, and he wonders why she won't rest in peace. He also wonders why he'll never be able to have a normal life like he used to have. He wonders if the school life is really how it's supposed to be, since there are "different strokes for different strokes" . He tries to talk to his friends about this, but they're too busy talking about their own problems to listen to him. He decides to relay his problems back to his friend, but then he decides not to talk anymore. He finds a hole in the wall of his dormitory, and decides to bring it along with him to his sister's house for a visit.
