In this chapter, we learn that Mina is back in school, but she's not back home yet. She's been living with her friends from school, and they're back in town, too. Mina says that she hasn't changed much since graduating from high school. She and Mizuki aren't around as much as they used to be, and it's harder to be single than to be with a boyfriend. She also says that arima, Mina's friend, is getting married, and that's why they've got to shake off their past loves and find new ones. They've also broken up with their high school boyfriend right after graduation, and he found someone else to drink with. Mina asks Mina if she can have some water to sleep on her bed, and she says she'll leave it there if she wants to. Mina thinks that Mina fell asleep when she opened the door to her room, and Mina says she saw her face when she fell asleep. Mina wants to know if Mina is sleeping in the doorway, or if she just got bigger and gained more weight. Mina doesn't know, and says she can't leave the water there, but Mina asks if Mina can have it after noon, so they can go to the park together.
