New Year's Day is here, and everyone is dressed up for the new year, including Urasebe and Harada. Harada notices that they're all dressed up and complains about how much they have to change their clothes. He's also worried about the mailman and his motor bike, which is supposed to be a symbol of the New Year. He wonders if it's because he's going to go check it out, or because he thinks it might be a good omen for the year to come. He also wonders about a pink snake, which reminds him of the snake on Urasbe's birthday card. He thinks that the snake's pink stripes are a sign that the year is coming to an end, and he wonders if that's an omen for a new year and a new relationship with his love. He then wonders if the snake is actually a pink panty snake, because he has been dreaming about the snake every night since the beginning of the year, and now he knows why.
