In this chapter, a girl named Urabe meets a boy named Hiroyuki. The girl asks Hiroyuki if he would like to eat lunch with her, but Hiroyuki refuses. He tells her that he is a good cook and that his omelet is very tasty. He then tells her about his friend, oka, who invited him to lunch with a girl in his class. Hiroyuki tells the girl that he does not need any female friends because he has her as a boy friend, and that he likes the sound of the girl's conversation. He invites her to join him in a relay race the next day, and she agrees. He takes her to the nurses office and asks her to be his friend.
