About This Chapter
The next morning, Tsubaki wakes up with a sore throat and a fever. He's going to stay home from school for a few days, but he'll be back in class the next day. He asks if he can go to Ueno's house to visit him, and he says he can. He also asks if the teacher has told him that he's called out sick, and that he should come to his room. Tsubak says that's a good idea, and they'll get back to their usual routine when he goes to his house. The next day, he comes back to school, and the teacher says that he was just sick from school, so they should go back to the classroom. The teacher says they're going to go to the house, and then they should come back to class. The two boys talk about the previous day, when they were out, and how strange it was that the teacher didn't stop them from going to the school and handing out handouts. This time, they've both got a cold, so the teacher is going to have to stay at home for a couple of days. The boy says that his fever has gone down a bit, but it's still pretty bad. He says that if he could see him in his summer clothes, he'd be able to survive the cold. He wants to buy him a book, tidy up his room, and buy him some food. He doesn't want to break up with the boy, though.
