It's the morning of the experiment, and we're introduced to the narrator, who's a little confused about what's going on. He's been having a weird time with his crush, and he'd like to find out what it's like to be in love with someone else. He wants to go to school with her, but he can't figure out where they're supposed to meet. He also wants to know where he's supposed to get into the car with her boyfriend, who is supposed to be waiting for him at the corner store. The narrator's confused by all of this. He doesn't really know what to make of the whole "getting into his car" thing.
