He says he'd like to try it, and then he tells the moth man to eat some of the applesauce, because it'll help him get through the day. He also tells the man that his fever is gone, and he can feel it in his hand. He's happy to see his friend, and says that he left his shirt in her room the day before, so she'll have to wear it before she goes to school. He tells her that if she gives him her own shirt, he might get sick, but if he gives her his own, she might not get sick at all.
