This chapter opens with a discussion between Wlad and Wlad's wife, Wagatsuma. Wlad wants to know if the band he's playing with is a normal band. He's not sure, but he thinks it's a good idea to play on drums. He also wants to play a song for Wlad about his upcoming marriage to Tsuma San. He asks Wlad if he did something last year, like he'd planned to do this year. He says he didn't, because maid cafes were all over the place at the time. He doesn't think he'll be able to do it this year, however, because Wlad still thinks that he and his wife will have to hire more maids. He wants to make sure that they're able to keep up with the sales, and he wants to do that by bringing back the maids. But then he thinks about the fact that Wlad can't play the piano or sing, and wonders why he shouldn't just do it for himself.
