In this short scene, Hiroshi is in a time-slip to the future. He tells us that he is in love with a girl named Silvia, who he met on the road home from school when they were both 17 years old. They have been in love ever since, and they have been married for a long time. He says that Silvia has turned down all of his offers to marry her, and that she is going to run away with him now that he has turned her down. He thinks that if he hadn't gotten through to Silvia when he was 17 , he wouldn't be where he is today. He also says that if Silvia had not turned him down, he would never have gotten to meet her. He wonders why he has been acting so weird, and wonders if he is acting because he wants to lower her opinion of him, or because he is worried about what will happen to him in the future if he does not do so
