Ten years into the future, the protagonist of the story, a young man named Aoshi, is talking to his friends about his marriage. He's 17 years old, and he's married to a girl he met in his dreams. He doesn't know why his friends are bummed about the marriage, but he does know that Aoshi's opponent is a girl named Yume. Aoshi asks the protagonist what's up, and the protagonist tells him that he found out that he'd married the girl of his dreams the night before. Yume is the girl from his dreams, and she's the one that he fell in love with in the first place. He asks if he can write her a love letter, but the protagonist says he can't, because he has no other choice. He also says that the protagonist is crazy about him, and that he would gladly be killed if it were to protect him. The protagonist tells Yume that he has found the perfect letter, and Yume says that it's not good, because the protagonist isn't mature enough to marry a girl like her. He tells her that he gave her the letter before they got married, and says that she shouldn't be surprised that he didn't "mature in the slightest." Yume tells the protagonist that he should just "practtice" .
