The chapter opens with a flashback to a time when Dobashi was a member of the corps. When he was in high school, he was accused of stealing a girl's swimsuit, which made him drop out of school and become a free man. He tells Dobashi that he will suffer for the rest of his life if he does not stop stealing girls' swimsuits. When Dobashi tells him that the corps was disbanded the day before, Dobashi says that he did not know about it. He thanks Dobashi for his help loading up the boxes for the move.
