In this short scene, the two young lovers discuss their love for one another. The young lovers realize that they are very different from each other, and that they do not share the same love for each other as they did for their older brother, the prince. The prince is the older brother of the young lovers' father, and he is the one who is always so kind to the prince, even when the prince is in danger of losing his life or being killed. The two are very grateful for the prince's kindness, and the prince asks the prince why he is hiding it from him. He tells the prince that the reason he helped the prince was that he wanted to make amends for what he had done to his other brothers, but he cannot explain it to him for his last life, so he feels grateful for what the prince has done for him and his family. He asks if the prince can love him back, to which the prince replies that he thinks he means more than that, but that they should not have come to such a place as they are now.
