About This Chapter
As long as she's alive, no one will hurt her sister. She tells her father that she killed the assassin in order to protect him from the emperor. She also tells him that the day is a day of celebration, but Prince Jue and the seven princess went on killing royals. If they don't punish the royals severely, they'll be a threat to the nation. They were acting in self-defense, she says. She asks why they're so eager to kill her and her sisters. She says that she was lucky to close someone who tried to assassinate her children. The guards beat the man to death, but she says that's not a crime. She's the one who ordered someone to break in to the forbidden palace, and she killed that man by her hand. What crime did she commit? As for her ordering someone to kill the children under her nose, she coughs. That's a contempt of authority, she cries. She wants to know what crime she committed, and what she thinks she deserves a reward for. Her father tells her that she is the law, and that she can reward anyone she likes.
