About This Chapter
This scene opens with a bang. It's the end of the chapter, and we're told that this is the last time we'll see the two of them together. We're also told that they're going to have sex before they get married, and that's a big no-no. We also learn that this isn't the first time they've had sex before marriage, either. In fact, it's probably the only time that we've ever heard of them having sex before getting married. The scene ends with one of the most famous lines in all of literature: "I'm afraid / When family affection turns to love / I know one day / I won't be abandoned again." Translation: I don't know when I'm going to be abandoned, but I sure hope you'll let me in on the secret
