The next morning, Tommo and Soji return to camp. Tommo shows them a poisonous mushroom, which grows nearly year-round. He compares it to a "small wang" and wonders if they should try some of the "mushrooms" in the forest. They find a large pile of them, which they assume must be from a boar. They head back to camp, but Tommo points out that the pile is made up of "drop pings" from boars.
