The crows have returned to the camp, and the guys are worried that they'll steal their dried food. They decide to use a bow to shoot at the birds, but they're worried that the birds won't be scared off by the bow. They're also worried that if one of the birds is killed, the other birds will stop visiting the camp. The bow works, but it's not as easy as it sounds. The guys decide to leave some mackerel as bait, and then wait for the birds to see them. The next day, the guys see that the crows have spotted the bait. They think they've seen the bait and are on their way. They don't want to wait around for the crows to show up, so they decide to go help the shion and the mutsu.
