The girls return from their trip to the Galapagos and Asuka asks them where they are. They tell her that they went to the ocean to search for food and that they are now back on the island. Asuka tells them that they can go home, but she tells them to be careful not to go out too late because it is too late for them to play in the inter-island basketball tournament that is being held in Sierra Nevada. She tells the girls that she is crying because she is not feeling well enough to participate in the tournament. She asks them if they would like to take a make-up exam in order to pass for the upcoming midterms. The girls agree to take the exam, but Asuka is worried that they will not be able to concentrate on their studies for the rest of the term. She says that she has a dream that she wants to study about on June 21, 1582.
