They decide to eat dinner in the middle of the night so they can watch it from the deck. Okay, so maybe they shouldn't be so worried about the boat? They've got a 99 percent chance of making it out of the water, and they don't really need to worry about anything else. They'll just have to wait for the ship to come back to shore. Yeah, that's a good plan. But then they'll have to figure out how to make it back to land safely. They can't do that if the ship doesn't come back, so they need to make sure the ship comes back safely. And then they can figure out what to do if it does come back
