In this chapter, Mina and Harada continue their conversation about patrol duty. Mina asks Harada if he's been writing down notes in the police's notebook while they're out on patrol. Harada replies that he has been writing less lately, and he'd like to find out if there's anything he can do to help the people of the city. He's going to go around collecting lottery tickets to give away to those in need. Mina says she's only going to give one away to a frail girl who needs help with her drinking problem. She doesn't want to give it away to anyone, but Harada says he'll give it to her anyway.
