The chapter opens with Tomoe and the others talking about the fight they just had. Tomoe says that he was so grossed out by the fight that he wanted to slap Tomoe. Tomokazuki says that Tomoe is using mental interference to make the others see things. He tells Tomoe that he's been using the Onmyodo theory to teach him how to use the kanji, which are symbols for language. He says that if Tomoe gets a hold of him, he'll break his toe balance while things are going on around him. He's also worried about the half-demons who are going to be the town's new trump card if they can't get out of town. Tomo says that the ground is glowing with the pulse of the shrine, which means that the shrine has been watching over the land for thousands of years. He asks Tomoe to write down all the details of the battle on a piece of paper and seal it until the time is right.
